A guide for each month

Each tick is a month. The live ring is this bench’s current sowing note — no invented germination rates, just the month we are in.

1. January January trays like brassica and pea under a lid.
2. February February is tomato and chilli weather if you have cover.
3. March March is when flower and herb rows go in first.
4. April April: keep foil packs sealed until the sowing morning.
5. May May forage mixes want a dry shelf before the monsoon.
6. June June spice sowings like a brief soak before the tray.
7. July July fruit-seed packets prefer a shaded bench.
8. August August: check foil seams before you open a pack.
9. September September cool-season vegetables return to the yard.
10. October October herbs that like a short chill can go in now.
11. November November leftover packs want a cupboard away from the kettle.
12. December December is for planning next year’s 256-SKU list.
